Some help or idea please.

I have a forum with SMF 1.1.9

I run a motorcycle forum (Great Plains Riders) and I have an organization that has asked if I could help them out.  they want to know if I could ad a section for them to use on my board. they have a lawsuit going on and their site is locked and involved so for a while want me to help.

what I want to know, with out installing a new board (forum) for them, (they have domain name no hosting site)   is there a way to do this with out a big problem

when their members join they can  pick a "Membergroup On Registration" (that mod is out of date)  and I can set a side some threads that are only seen by them (or any other idea for me).   would this be the easy way, can it be done with SMF?  or am I going to have to build them a whole new site?

they would like it to be somewhat separate from my site.    they have a URL that I can direct to the board for now...


any ideas for me?

What you can do is create a new category and board, specifically for this site, and set it so that only a given member group (and the admin) can see it. Then just add that member group to the users you'd allow in, since you can set multiple groups as secondary groups (i.e. invisibly) for users.
