How do i include screenshots/snapshot pictures of my forum in my posts

I am writing up a help section for my forum; and need to include snapshot images so as to better illustrate my explanations.
I have tried several things but just cant seem to know how to do it.
How do i go about this.

What exactly are you trying to achieve? I would have thought you could just use img tags to hold whatever images you wanted anywhere in your posts.

or you could turn screen grabs into PNG files via Microsoft paint...........


CTRL & Prt Scrn and then paste into PAINT

Well yes, I was assuming the screen captures would already be turned into images. Once you have images and have uploaded them to your site putting them into a post should be straightforward.

Those were done by adding arrows and text using a graphics program. Any graphics program could handle that job. You wouldn't need to have Photoshop. Paint would do it if you have nothing else. If you want something more advanced that is free you could use GIMP.
