As someone who does from time to time submit mods, please can we have a list of how many mods are still pending from the customisation team?

I'm not asking for links to the packages, just a guide to how many mods are pending and how quickly they get approved so that mod authors have a guide as to how long they can expect to wait for an answer.

Secondly, on the "Your profile" screen, is it possible to see our own mods that we haven't had approved yet? On my profile I can see 2 mods, yet I know there is a third mod pending and it seems almost clumsy to have to search for my own mod if I have to update the file because I made a mistake in the original release.

We can fix the profile one as it is fairly simple to fix.

As for the rest, I don't like the idea of us providing counters or information on that, as where you are in the queue doesn't always help.
As we go through the queue, mods who we are still awaiting a reply from the author for will be ignored and we move onto the next mod. So you may be the 6th one in the queue, but have messages sent to you as we are waiting for the 5 other mod authors to reply to us for fixes and updates.

We do go in order from oldest to the newest in the queue, so if you just submitted your mod it could take some time for you to see a pm from us about it. Depending on the queue size and the fact the entire simple machines team is volunteer based, this can be a few days.
To help us the best, try to follow the guidelines as close as possible, there are no security issues and ensure it works.

I wasn't actually after a "where I am in the queue" - just a guide as to "how many in the queue in total".

I guess I was a little curious to know where my 1 outstanding mod got to...

Thanks for listening though, much appreciated.

Well, when you submit a mod, take your ID then subtract it from the last approved mods ID XD. That will give you a rough estimate, but of course, not always accurate for reasons SleePy said.

I'm more curious that my (very simple) mod id 1920 is behind 1927, 1929, 1932, 1933, 1935 and possibly others which have been approved, so I wondered how many were left in the queue in total, not necessarily in front of mine.

There was some team input that was being waited on, and the last post on the review discussion was July 4, so expect to hear back somewhat soon.

Just noticed something else actually.

The last two of my mods - possibly all three, not sure - when crossposted to the Mods board contained the link to the mod at the start - but missing the words for 'link to mod', meaning that the first comment in the thread is 'where's the link?'

Is there some configuration detail I should have added for this somewhere during submission?

What I do, is in my readme's is have a spot for [Link to Mod] as well as [Support and Comments]

Could be something to consider as it prevents those useless posts like "link to mod?" lol

Useful advice that, thanks!

I just thought that since the is added, that it should populate with text too.

It used to be added as standard.

Need to get sleepy to check it.
