In the e-mail your members feature via the Admin Center I'd like for a new feature to be added.  In other areas there is a checkbox that we can click in to Select/Deselect All.  I'd like to have such a checkbox placed in the E-mail Your Members feature.  This will allow administrators, such as myself, to more quickly check all or uncheck all membergroups instead of unchecking each membergroup one at a time.

I also think this would be a nice feature, when I send emails to my members I usually only email a couple groups. But I have many groups. So I must uncheck them all.

A check all has already been added in 1.1.

Ahh okay.  I apologize for the request.  I'm on 1.0.1 and am unable to get 1.1 until its public release.  Thank you for updating this.

How about a way to mass email people who are waiting to be approved? They don't fit into any user group other than newbie, but so do lots of other people. On the school site I manage I need to get everyone's full name and graduating year before I can approve them. This usually means manually copying and pasting 50 names in to outlook before emailing them. Or is this in 1.1 too?

Oldiesmann

That would be a nice feature...

* Oldiesmann reminds two people to activate their accounts, deletes two "fake" registrations and bans people from registering with an "@test.com" email address

Also, I've been having problems with banned members who are in the Banned membergroup I created receiving e-mails eventhough they're not in the list of recipients.  is it possible to have banned members automatically filtered out so they don't get sent e-mails and announcements in such a feature?

Yes, banned members will be filtered out in the future.

Are you checking the boxes for post groups, too, though?

-[Unknown]

^Raven^

All boxes are checked.  If I unchecked those boxes then other members who should receive e-mails/etc wouldn't.  Becomes rather sticky.

No, the boxes are additive.  Example:

Ungrouped Members (persons A, B, C, and E)
Administrator (person D)
Newbie (persons A, B, and C)
Hero (persons D and E)

Remember, any given member can be in twenty plus groups.  If you were to check, here, "Newbie" and "Hero" that would mean EVERYONE.  There would be NO ONE it would not send to, because A, B, C, D, and E are all in those groups.

However, If you ONLY selected Ungrouped Members, and NO OTHER GROUPS, it would be sent to everyone except D.

What I'm saying there are banned members who are in membergroup A (banned) but also membergroup B and C and D.  If I unchecked e-mails for membergroups B, C, and D to stop the banned members from receiving then others in membergroups B, C, and D would also not receive the e-mail.

As I said, there's no way to exclude them at this point, but 1.1 will allow for it.

Okay thanks for the info.  So, just versions .03-.09 to go before 1.1 is out.  Huzzah.

opheliagrimm

is there a way to "send individually" instead of sending to all at once?

darcmarc

I don't know if it can be done through the forum, but try this: Look at their profile and copy their email from there and email them using your normal method. (Like outlook or whatever you use to send email)

^^^ I think that guy has lost it (but I still want what he's offering.) He is crazy. Funny though.

^Raven^

You can e-mail members by membergroup.  But, to my knowledge the only way to send an e-mail to a single member is to do so through your standard e-mail method as darcmarc has mentioned.

For example, if you were admin of opheliagrimm forums and you wanted to e-mail me.  You can't do so through the forum.  You'd have to go into hotmail or Horde or whatnot and send an e-mail to ^Raven^.
