With as many boards as there are on this site there is no reason to have another general discussion board. It is filled with support requests for everything. Either drop the board or just make it for feedback about the software. Maybe rename it to testimonials.

I agree it could perhaps be better moderated but I disagree that it should be dropped entirely; there are topics in there that truly don't have a home in support, feature/mod requests or somewhere else.

I say drop the 'discussion' part. And clarify the 'feedback' part as well. Testimonials sounds good, but they have a positive connotation, while 'feedback' denotes a more neutral stance. SMF is open to both good and bad reports by its users, so 'testimonials' may drive away some of the people who wish to comment on the less-than-desirable aspects of the software.

Perhaps the term 'observations' or 'reviews' would be more appropriate, and offer a more neutral term.

A new name plus perhaps more vigour in moving threads to the appropriate boards would be enough.
