Well, I've had 2.1RC1 installed for a bit now.  The frontend runs great, but my admin area has taken a crap.  It takes for ever to login to it, and 9 times out of ten, I can't get to any of the sections within the admin area.  And when I do actually get in, I can't do anything.  I can't upgrade to RC2, when I can get to that area.  I can't add any more boards, etc.

Basically its painfully slow load times (like at least a minute) per page, when the page loads.

Otherwise I just see :

Network Error (tcp_error)

A communication error occurred: ""
The Web Server may be down, too busy, or experiencing other problems preventing it from responding to requests. You may wish to try again at a later time.

Almost all the time.  Any ideas? Its just the admin stuff......

Depending on your setup

Try disabling hostname checks.
Admin > Features & Options > Spam & Security

Disable hostname lookups.

Otherwise its probably a server issue rather than an smf one.

K thanks....lets see if I can get to that actual area of the admin!

Well....I can't seem to get anything to work.  Curious....I'd like to change that setting and possible the 'friendly urls' setting to off.  Can I do that from the database?  I'm kinda browsing around in there right now.....

Well....I turned off search engine friendly urls, and hostname lookups.  Still no luck.

My admin area doesn't work at all, but my forum works great

Is it the same error when trying to get to the admin area?
Holder of controversial views, all of which my own.
