I've found a few threads on this very topic and am STILL having problems adding my own copyright.

Can someone give me some code for this? Thanks!  :)

You could try [THIS] mod.
It will allow you to edit the copyright from the admin panel, without having to go through the template yourself

Or even [THIS] mod.
Do NOT give admin and/or ftp details to just anybody, see if they are trust worthy first!!  Do your homework ;)

Thanks Sabre!  :)

How do I add the mod? (Sorry, am new to SMF. Was a vBulletin user prior.)

No problem :)
It depends on which version of smf you are using.

For smf 1
Go into your admin panel, look to the left where it says "Packages" and click that.
Then select "Download Packages"
Go to where it states "Package to Upload:" and click the "Browse" button.
Select the package and click on upload situated to the right of the browse button.
Then click on "[ Apply Mod ]"
If there are no errors, click on the "Install Now" button.

EDIT:
ooppss, for got the instructions for smfr2 lol

It is basically the same, just when you go into your admin panel, hover over the "Main" tab, scroll down to "Packages" and select "Download Packages" :D

Whichever mod you select, will have instructions of its use in its thread, and/or on its download page.

Good luck, and Welcome To SMF :)
