Siteframe and SMF integration

I am currently using Siteframe to run a small community site.  I want to use SMF to include a nice forum for people to post.  I would like to set it up so they just have to log in once.  I have kinda got it to work.  by passing the username and encrypted password I can get it to load but it either tells me there is a problem with cookies or it takes me to the forum as a guest.

So from siteframe I have a hyperlink with the url like

jttp://www.yhs85.org/smf/index.php?action=login&user=blah&passwd=encryptedpassword.

sometimes I try to use login2 but no.. And I am sure there is a more secure way of doing this but I am not an expert PHP programmer.  So I am limited in what I can do.

Any help would be great.
