Board Access based on Monthly Post Count (Custom Membergroup?)

Hi all--

I posted the following over in the SMF 2.x Support board and Illori remarked that I probably need a mod to accomplish the following:

Hi all-

I'd like to restrict access to a board based on a members monthly post count. (2.0 Final)

Ideally, I'd like members to post a certain number of times each month (and as Admin, I wouldn't mind the ability to approve/disapprove those posts) to have access to a board and every 1st of the month, erase the previous months post counts and start counting member posts all over again.

Does that make any sense? (It does to me, but it's my vision.)

How might I (easily) accomplish this?

If anyone feels like tackling the subject, please do so along with any 'improvements.' I think I might not be the only appreciative mod user. My only goal is to push members into participating. If anyone knows of another method, please feel free to speak up. If anyone knows of an already established mod that does this, please let me know. I searched the mod site and came away empty handed.
