Can some one Please fix this for me?

Have a look at the manual install instructions for your upgrade. Then have a look at Manual Installation of Mods to see how to make them.

Also, what version SMF are you using?

What was the previous version and what version SMF are you using now?

JimM

This means that the update patch found a problem in that file and you will need to manually edit it as JBlaze mentioned.  If you don't feel comfortable editing it, then attach it to your next post and one of us will edit it for you.  I'm assuming your are upgrading to 1.1.11.

Run the update, ignore the error message on Subs.php and continue with the update. Once the update is done, replace ./Sources/Subs.php with the one attached here.

sorry buddy I'm working with JimH, if he say it good to use,  I will but I'm not loading anything with out his OK.

But thank you any bud..

I do appreciate it.

mastermachman

are you sure I should do this ... sorry I do not know if I should.
I do not need any more troubles .. I'v beem trying to up-date for some time now, getting tired of installing back up.. and no telling what is happping with that on back end . . LOL

hadesflames

All I did was apply the update to that file manually, as both JBlaze and JimM suggested. If you search around the forum you will find that all three of us have done this many times. If you do as I suggested above, your forum should be good to go on 1.1.11. Also, for what it's worth, I was last month's support helper of the month:

mastermachman

ok that link work I deleted all the other downloads just to keep everything strait. I'll give your suggestion a shot.

Now what do i do with my old file I save do i use any of it? or delete it to and just use what you gave here ?

Thanks.

hadesflames

You should back up your files and database before applying the update so that you can restore your forum just in case anything goes wrong, and save your Subs.php somewhere too. But everything should be ok. Make sure to replace the file AFTER you apply the update though.

Glad to hear =]

If everything goes well and you have no further issues, you can mark this topic as solved.

mastermachman

OK give me a few days ... I wil come back and do this.. Thanks.

JimM

Sorry I didn't see this yesterday, got busy and didn't make it back, but I see that hadesflames got you all fixed up.  If you look around the forum, you will see his name quite a bit in the last several months.  I appreciate your caution, however we do have a number of regular members that help out with support on a regular basis.

I'm glad you were able to complete your upgrade.
