Not showing posts

My members have been complaining about their posts not showing up but I just thought it was members who are not pc litterate pressing the wrong button or something like that
I've now noticed the problem with my posts it only seems to happen on long posts when you take your time & write an essay for world peace

you press the post button & it all goes smooth until you go back to check your post & its not there I've now taken to copying all my posts before posting them but to ask all my members to do this would be like getting blood out of a stone 
Is this a bug thats been picked up on I've searched & could not find anything or is there a timeout on smf that im not aware of

Im using smf 2.0 RC2 (it happened with a clean install with no mods)

Just to check, in Admin>posts and topics, there's "Maximum allowed post size". Is yours set to "0" (Zero)?

it was set to 20000 so ill let you know
