Poll Voting for guests

Hello all

i have upgraded my Board from SMF 1 to SMF2RC3 and i am very happy with it. A main reason for upgrade was the implemented option to allow guest voting.

at the moment i am using this features with ssi_recentpoll to integrate the poll on the main page and to get more votes. but if guests choose an option and "vote" they are redirected to the board an don't see any results. most users think the vote was not counted (but it was) and vote again - but the results view doesn't come up until i click on "show poll results"

curiously, the board counts every vote (but cookies are enabled), what the next greater problem is (multiple votes are horrible )

does anybody have an idea how to fix this? i tried myself  to add an additinal field to log the voters IP-adress in smf_log_polls but i am note sure where to make the test if the ip has already voted.
