SMF V2 RC2 slow on iPhone3G v3.1.3

I am using iPhone3G safari to browse my site which is running with SMF V2 RC2. Unfortunately the respond is very slow in loading the page. After zoom/pan have to wait for 5-10 seconds to get the page loaded. Anyone reason this is happening?

Just direct into the forum with safari...

I can't, I don't have an Iphone, although I can use the wap mode which is much lighter rather than the full version. You can switch between them when needed by just removing the wap tags at the end of the url.

If you can click a photo and annotate it, we might be able to understand something (non Iphone users).

Yes, the direct with safari sometimes freezes or is very slow. I personally use the WAP2 version, it's better and faster.

Use your fingers to scroll down to the bottom, under the SMF copyright, it should say WAP2.

The only downside of WAP2 is that you don't see much graphics but it loads very fast and is very clean. WAP has most features like PM, reply, etc.

Tested on opera Mini in andriod, it works super fast! Well, wap is the way forward. We can't really change how browsers work.

I view my 1.1.11 forum through safari on an iphone 3gs and it works fine for me. Not using the wap version either
