Greetings.

First of all, I would like to voice my appreciation for the very easy to use SMF software.

I am the Admin at, a web site hosted through Lunar Pages.

Your Message Board Software is included with our package at LP, and according we operate a Professional Message Board also.

I tried to change the color of the golden star(s) used with the member name, with no success.

Is changing the color possible. We want to have different color stars to identify different member groups.

Could someone please help?

Thanking you

Welcome to SMF.   :)

There may actually be a mod that does this, but it's really quite easy.  If you have access to Photoshop or some other similar software and are able to change the color of the existing gold star.gif (found in your default/images/ folder), first, do that for as many different colors as you think you will need. Name them all differently; for example starred.gif, starblue.gif, and so on, and then, when you are done, upload them into your default/images folder.  (If you are using a custom theme, and not default, upload them into that theme's image folder, as well).

Now, go to Admin==> Members==> Membergroups and choose a membergroup you want to assign a star color to and click "Modify".  There, you will see a field for the "Star image file name".  Replace star.gif with the name of one of  your newly created colored stars and Save your changes.

:)
My apologies, but I am taking a break from accepting PM requests for support.  If I am not currently assisting you, please do not ask as long as this notice is posted.  Thank you.
