phpbb3 to smf "phpBB3_Login_Fix" won't install

I get this message
The package you are trying to download or install is either corrupt or not compatible with this version of SMF
I am running smf 2.0 rc3

Any ideas or will it not work on this version. It takes three login attemts to get logged in. After the three tries it all works fine then.

Ah, I see. That package is only for SMF versions 1.1.x. I looked at LogInOut.php file for SMF 2.0 RC3, and it seems that this patch is already embedded by default. 

Do all your users experience the login problem? You could try changing the cookiename and see if that helps.

I am not sure if anyone else has had this problem or not. I have a admin account and a regular member account and both of them had this problem. Maybe it was the cookie on my machine causing the problem. I will have to check with some of the other members and see if they had any problems.

I finally got a hold of one of my members. He tried to log in but it is saying he has invalid characters in his username so he can't log in. I am guessing it is "&". Is there anything I can do to fix this or will he have to register a new name?

Unfortunately, SMF doesn't allow the character '&' to be used in usernames. You could change this users name either in their forumprofile or with phpMyAdmin.

What is phpMyAdmin?

I'm not sure, but this user might be able to login with his emailaddress in stead of if username as well.
