If anyone is interested, I just found this really cool script that basically clones the Facebook chat bar.  It's called ArrowChat and SMF is supported.

What do you guys think?  I'm using it and it works great.

meh... it's $65. Overpriced, especially since there are free chat solutions out there that work just fine and there's no way to try this out without purchase.

Nice, the template system is pretty good and it uses JavaScript Object Notation instead of XML just like 2-SI Chat. It has more features though, but $65 compared to free.

NEND wonders what he done, free compared to $65, hmm, nah.

"Trading" paid-for software is what you might call "Illegal", though.

There is a demo page, theres only a phpbb demo tho, but i assume the chat bar will be the same whichever script you use it on.

Oh, and i found it for download within about 20seconds on google.

you found a free (aka illegal) copy for download?

And, a demo page is not good enough. If I get a script, I want to be able to test it in integration with my test site...   make sure I can get it the way I want it for my installation and site.  So, try-before-you-buy, is a good model... but purchase, untested, is not, IMO.
