Allow MemberGroup to manage board of only one category?

Hi, I searched my a** off here, but did not find neither a mod nor a forum thread, so I would like to ask here:

Is it possible to have a membergroup that is able to manage boards only for a defined category, but not all boards?

As I understand this is not possible with 1.X SMF.

Is there a mod for this?

Is this possible with 2.x?

Thanks, xenovanis, I also found this thread - but I can not see how this is about Manage Board permissions - it works, however for "moderate board".

I would like to give a membergroup the right to actually manage boards below a category - so create, modify, move and delete boards.

Maybe I am not getting the point of the post you mentioned? I can not even see the "manage board" permission anywhere in 2.0...

it is possible to "manage boards and categories" but NO way to manage some and not all boards and categories. Look under "Forum administration" in the permission section of admin for the group you wish to add.

Illori, that is what I am trying to get acknowledged here. NO way to have manage board permissions only on a few boards, e.g. on all boards below a category but NOT others, right?

I just want to be really sure...

yes that is the way it works, if you look under the board permissions you can NOT grant manage board permission to any group.
