A post only topic

Hi I'm trying to set up a spot on my forum so members can post up Ideal and Cancers with it getting carried away or off track so I thought if I could make a spot that is post only and no one can replay to any of the post . I looked at all me sitting and don't see any way to do so just a read only can any you help me out with this

you need to enable the ability to use local board permissions then set permissions for that member group so they can NOT reply to posts in that board.

Sorry I don't know if I'm looking in the wrong spots or not but I don't see any thing that says Enable  local board permissions

admin -> permissions -> settings Enable advanced by-board permissions

    Sorry I gussies I spoke to soon I did the enable advance BY-Board permission then I went in and clicked the post new topic button and un check all the polls and the replays so it would be a post only spot. Well I just got a message from one of the members that there was not new topic buttom so they still can not post up there Ideals and Concerns

you need to look in permissions and change/set them to what you want for that board.

Ok I went back in and it boxes and got the ne topic button back but also got the replay button and I'm try to keep it from any kinds of replay

Well I just went back in to Mange Permissions and the only thing that I have check is the Topics    Post new topics box

Could I be missing some thing may be some place else

you might need to enable the ability to "deny" permissions and apply the deny perm to replying in that board.
