I made a new website (forum - SMF 1.1.12). Well, I put a sitemap and Google said it is not acceptable. I saw there are some dead-link(-s) in the theme, then I changed another one. After it seems Google still do not accept it. I would like to know if there is really some trouble with.

Yigal

What do you mean Google doesn't accept it?  Can you please be more precise?

Most of those links are crap and shouldn't be in a sitemap, like seo.byethost24.com/login/ and seo.byethost24.com/internet/?action=unread

Only links to POSTS is all you should have, like

www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=416969.0
www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=416969.20

etc, not

www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=416969.msg2917231#msg2917231

and definately not people's profiles, LOGIN, REGISTER and other junk.  Whether that's the issue or not I don't know.  It seems valid otherwise.

Instead of using those stupid online generators that are rather pointless and index loads of crap they shouldn't, use my Sitemap mod.  It's easier and painfree.

Which is this mod?

Looking at the sample page, that isn't a XML sitemap, right?  Google's webmaster tools needs a valid XML sitemap document otherwise it fails.  Please correct me if I'm wrong :) (which I am often)

Features of the Sitemap:
- allow everyone or just admins to see the XML *link* (could save on server load on large forums)
- set the number of topics to show in the XML sitemap
- set the priority for topics that are 30,60, 90, or 91+ days old
- dynamic calculation of the changefreq for the XML sitemap
- obeys forum permission settings (if someone normally can't see a board or topic on your forum, they won't see it in the sitemap either)
- XML sitemap always displays what a guest would see, and is cached for faster performance
- Works with SEF url settings
- Works with Pretty URLs

You are indeed wrong, sorry to say.  Please check the description a bit closer on the mod...
QuoteAlso included is the option to display an XML sitemap for use with Google Sitemaps.  On any of the sitemap pages, simply click the 'XML' link at the bottom for the XML version.

And an example from the demo: http://www.airridetalk.com/forum/sitemap/xml

Yes, thanks, I knew I was wrong :) LOL  I just looked at the demo and didn't read the other stuff.

But in my defense, I'm not the only one who missed that as two other SMF users I know asked me why it wouldn't work work Google.

Sorry, and good job - nice mod.
