How to stretch banner on SMF 2.0 RC4

Hi guys
I'm new here sorry if it a wrong place to post this

I hosted forum for my css clan but i got few problems  I'm trying to add custom banner but have no idea how to stretch it all the way across of my web page, i have been surfing on net for 2 days and i can't find solution anywhere.

and i want to stretch my banner same as banner on this forum http://warcraft-source.com/board/
i already added my banner into Themes\default\images folder

i will attach my index.template.php file from Themes\default  so you could have a look

and one more thing
how can i set my themes so i didn't had those lains on lefts side of my blocks like for example before User Info

i would really appreciate your help guys.

your issue about the columns on the left/right are from simple portal which you have installed, for support on that please use their support thread or forum. for your logo issue you are best to contact your theme author or post in the graphics/template board.

Look in your default theme css folder. There is a file called portal.css . Copy this to your themes css folder.

This should be sticky'ed somewhere. It would be much easier than having to explain it over and over again. Sometimes I wonder why there is an SMF search option at all.
