Hi,

As the title of my topic say's: "Administrator can specify a custom date and time for any post." is that possible to edit manually ?
Many will not understand the importance of this simple request but for my business is important...Q: why ? :
A: I use for first page only 1 topic who is displayed via Tinyportal, and I update that topic but always it show for example: by Administrator on March 20 2009 and this disadvantage my business. Much will say: why you don't recreate the topic....answer is simple: that topic is good indexed by google/yahoo/msn....SEO ...etc... and I can't recreate that topic with the same link(Ex: /index.php?topic=211.0).

For vBulletin there is a hack for my problem: http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=132291 but not for SMF.
That hack give you ability to:
Post Date/Time (available to administrators only):
Administrator can specify a custom date and time for any post.

Can someone help me manually to change date/time for a topic ?

Illori

you can check the mod site, but most likely you will find nothing. you can request a mod also. this will require a database change to update the date/time it was posted.

I don't think somebody will want to build this hack...I request few time ago a hack free/paid and nobody was interested.

So isn't possible manually to modify the date for a topic? (phpmyadmin....etc?).

Illori

yes you can if you can find the right place to edit it, off hand i dont know where it is.

Change the forum's date.

Post.

Change the date back.

Sorted. ;)

Its about to edit date for an old topic, its used for first page, locked and I can't recreate the same topic with the same link(Ex: /index.php?topic=211.0). And the link is important because of google(good indexed=SEO) and that old date disadvantage my business, this is the reason why is important for me. Unfortunately for the moment onlly vbulletin have this hack/trick to change date of a post.
