Upgrading old yyExample() functions

I had several yyExample() functions in Subs.php from YaBB SE 1.5.5 that I wish to use now I've upgraded to SMF 1.0.5

I selected to upgrade my forum template during the upgrade. It has now produced a new template in the /Themes/converted folder called index.template.php. The old style tags for using custom Subs.php functions were <yabb Example> - however this doesn't work anymore. What syntax do I use to get these working again?
