can you check the file permissions on the packages folder and the temp folder? they should be either 755 or 777 ideally. How do I chmod? / what is chmod?

dennis2011

the permision is 777 i did chmode them when i installed lasnite

Illori

you could also try creating a backup folder, but if that does not work then i am not sure what the package manager is looking for.

dennis2011

"You cannot download or install new packages because the Packages directory or one of the files in it are not writable!"

All the files should be 644 or 666. This includes the files in the backups directory.

If this makes no difference then (just on a hunch) try changing the Packages and backups directories to 755.

i did chmodd all files from 0644 to 777 but is ok now works fine there was problem with web broweser explored8  now im usin google chrome works fine thx all
