Please i need help removing the search box, key stats, new post and no new posts

Hi, smf forumers, Please i need help removing the search box, key stats, new post and no new posts. i would like to remove this from my site

I don't know why you would want to do that but you should probably expand a bit on what exactly you want to do.

I could be wrong but I'm fairly certain you can turn off the search function from the admin panel.

It would help to know which version of SMF you're running and if you have a custom theme?

Also, when you say you want to remove new and no new posts do you mean the images that appear on the index page?

Again, not sure why you would want to do that but I think probably the easiest way would be to replace the new and no new images with a single pixel image that is the same color as the background.

You could also just delete the files but some browsers will render that in a really ugly way.

Firefox will generally just ignore a missing image but Internet Explorer will render it as a big X.

Ogonna, I can't ftp files to your server - for reasons unknown, I've been getting write errors since last night.  If I edit your index.template.php, can you upload to the server?

if it is possible to edit my index its okay, it just that now most mods to not work, on the smf 1.1.13, i cant even place adsense cause the ad management mod seems not to be working, @southern thunder, i cant remove the search box or key stats from the admin panel, and yes i mena that image that appears in the homepage, i would love to remove it without that big space in between the categories and recent posts

Cannot upload files to your server, either with cpanel or ftp.  You may have run out of disk space.  You can't install any mods or edit the templates if files won't upload, that's why nothing's working.  Contact your host.

What about editing some stuffs in the forum, like making the header and the news fader be in the same line, removing the smf logo, and moving the new posts and no new post to the header, is that possible or do i need to still contact them

if you are at max space allowed NO files can be edited until you hear back from them

You  have another SMF install in your /www directory.  If you're not using it, uninstall/delete it, and that will give you some useable space.
