Sorry it's been so long since my last reply.
I've decided to rewrite the entire mod which has been proving more painful than first thought.

As of current there is no SMF 2 support, however I am also planning on that.

I dont want to step on any toes but I would like to attempt to port this mod to SMF 2...   I dont have much spare time so it might take me a while

I had a look at attempting to fix this when I first released it...
To fix it open themes/default/profile.template.php
Find:
<iframe src="./steam/status.php?id='

Replace with:
<iframe src="http://your.forum/url/steam/status.php?id=' [nofollow]

Works fine here on 1.1.11. I did edit it a little bit but it was just to make it show the total time played and the game's icon. Just make sure you have your file permissions set right via FTP. Not sure what it would take to port this over to SMF 2 as I'm stuck on 1.1.11 until I get around to updating my theme to work. However, from what I seen it didn't look like it would be too complicated.
