Can't access to smf files via ftp

I don't know if here is the right place to post this issue, so if is not sorry anyways 

I couldn't connect to the smf files with the FTP. I think that there's something wrong with the log data such as password or user. I use the password and user name of the smfnew account, i don't really know if is correct or not. Someone can give me a hand please?

They have some ludicrous restrictions on what you can and can't do, I'm afraid.

You'll get better help if you ask them, as they have nothing, at all, to do with SMF.
