Yet another abandoned mod. >:(
Curious who thought it was a GREAT idea to approve a member with a semi-newbie status (33 posts) to provide a mod. :o
How sad that the creator of this mod was ???

Needed information:
- What's your SMF version?, What MODs are installed? What Theme(s) are you using? Have you backed up your database?

Mods for ver 1.x will NOT run on ver 2.x

No checks were made based on post count; someone with many posts can still write bad code, and someone with few posts can write something amazing. As long as it met the team's guidelines, it gets approved.

As for abandonment, I find myself constantly amazed how often people forget that *other people* write mods, and that other people do have lives and commitments, not just being bound to updating mods forever. (This is not aimed at anyone in particular, just that I find it amazing how an awful lot of people forget this fact.)
Holder of controversial views, all of which my own.

I respect you AND what you have said here Arantor ;),
however, this doesn't change the truth, that I have a forum which will not function using SMF Core as a theme. :(

I am going to use one of my other forums to see what I can do about the Display.template in order to "repair" it. ;)

I hope that life is treating you well,

Was able to repair core theme and get it operational :)

can anyone help me how to apply this step below?

Code
add_settings_2.php
This file should not be able to execute standalone. You may have to run the following queries manually.

Query: [Select]

INSERT INTO {db_prefix}settings
VALUES ("modhideShowModName", "0")

will i run that query in phpmyadmin? and if so what about the statement at the beginning add_settings.php what will i do with that file, i didn t understand? thanks

I did have v 1.1 installed (which had the permissions set so that the mod functions were linked to members being able to moderate forum members.

I have uninstalled this version and installed v 1.6 which should give me the option of which membergroup has access to this hide post feature.

However, I still have the old 1.1 permissions set where it is linked to being able to moderate forum members.

Does anyone know how I can remove this bit as it mustn't have uninstalled cleanly???

All the other new features on v1.6 (options in the admin panel and adding name of member that hid the post etc) but thicking the "Hide Posts" option in the Membergroup Permissions page doesn't give the permission.

Running v 1.1.13 with lots of other mods :)
