Hide specific category from board index?

Is there a way to hide specific category with it's boards from board index?
Something like this but just for categories:

You want to hide the category from all users, regarding their access to that category?

The code is basically the same as the one you link since the categories are displayed in a similar manner, with a foreach:

foreach ($context['categories'] as $category)
