I'm having the same issue as was brought up in this thread http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=364799.0 , but I don't see that there was a response.

I just upgraded from 1.1.11 to 2.0.2, and everything pretty much went smoothly, except now the alignment of animated gif smileys has gone from having the text align with the bottom of the gif to the top of the gif.

In other words, instead of having it "gap up", it "gaps down". Here's a screen shot to kinda-sorta show what I'm talkin' about:

If you have the answer for how to fix this, be advised that I don't know jack about a lot of this code stuff, so please feel free to explain it to me like I'm an idiot. As a matter of fact, that would be preferred! ;)

p.s.: sorry about bumping the other thread....I didn't realize the protocol.

Just wanted to show that I did search for an answer first, and that apparently someone else had the same issue. Plus, it didn't appear to have a resolution.

I deleted the bump post. :-[

Well......I figured it out.

It's an Internet Explorer issue--"Compatibility View" needs to be clicked off. Before on 1.1.11, Compatibility View had to be on to prevent the "jumping text" issue when typing a long post.

Now with 2.0.2, it throws off the alignment of images, so it has to be Compatibility View has to be off.

Posting the fix here for anyone else who may have the same issue.
