starting a completely new forum

I probably sound like a total noob, but I purchased the 1.1.9 software, and the forum that it's been running on is now closing. Can I use the software (with upgrades) to set up an entirely new server, database and forum, or do I need to purchase the software again?

Not sure I'd call you a n00b, but where did you purchase it from? It's free here. I'm really concerned if you really paid for SMF. Is that really the case? Regardless, you can move a site pretty easily by getting a backup of the site files and the database and import it all to a new environment. But I'm still concerned that you purchased SMF. Maybe some clarification is in order there.

Sorry, yes, thinking about too many things at once. I dowloaded it from here, and didn't pay for it.
