Hello all

I own an aquaristic forum, www.mkreef.com, based on a smf 1.1.16, 200 members, 40-50 per day.

The last couple of weeks i have benn having problems (well not me personaly, everuthing works fine for me) but some members are having hard time to log in, they get a message that the site contains a virus or some of them get redirected to http://ads.biz14.com !!! As i said i never had any problems, same with some other members.

I did run online check for my site and came clean.

ANY SUGGESTIONS how to fix this?? Will the problem be fixed if i switch to smf2? I hate going back to a backup coz lots of info will be lost from my forum.

tnx in advance

Robert.

What hosting are you using? And use the large upgrade package to all files and make sure you check Settings.php. Change all passwords (hosting + database) and fix them with repair_settings.php. Change your administrator password too. Hope that helps.

Tnx for the reply :)

im using a http://uhost.mk/ as my host, guys are local and very helpfull with anything, just not familiar with smf.

So, i just do the large upgrade ? What to check in settings.php? Do i run the repair_setting after the upgrade?

tnx

Robert.

Nope you just have to overwrite all files except Settings.php with the files from the large upgrade package. You need to change the passwords to another password and fix Settings.php by using repair_settings.php ;)

here is something that my members are getting :(

we downloaded the whole forum to a pc and scaned all files but it came clean, now i dont know is it forums fault or host/servers fault

Is anything wrong here? Am I supposed to have index.php~ ??

Robert.

Index.php~ and SSI.php~ are just backup files, they are created when installing mods that alter index.php.
