Kunena to SMF - Slashes next to Quotation Marks & Apostrophies - No Avatars

Hi everyone,

After about 2 weeks of fighting with it, I finally got my two databases to talk to eachother.  Looks like everything converted pretty well, for the most part.  However, I am running into a couple minor issues.

#1 - Before every apostrophe (') and quotation mark ("), there is a slash (\) in front of it.

#2 - None of my avatars were moved over.

#3 - Some attachments look like this:

Yes it's caused from the converter adding slashes to the posts during the conversion. Don't know why it is set to do that. I fixed this I thought for this converter. This converter should not add them though.

As for the attachment, I don't know about that one. What version of Kunena are you using?

Thanks a ton.  Looks like it worked great.  The only thing I noticed is that the signatures still have slashes in them wherever an apostrophe, or quotation mark are found.  I can live with that  :D .  It also fixed the attachments problem.

I'm running Kunena 1.7.2 . I know what the problem is with my avatars.  It's that I was using Community Builder for my profiles and that's where the avatars are stored.  Where in the conversion files could I change the directory to look in comprofiler?

Thanks again!

You probably want to look at the Converting Attachments section in the kunena_to_smf.sql file to see if you can get it to use the path you need. Good to know this works for 1.7 too!

I'm running Kunena 1.7.1 and I have the same slashes problem. I tried to use the converter on the second post but when I use it, I receive "The database value you're trying to insert does not exist: poster_email" error.

Is there a way to solve this problem?
