Simple Audio Video Embedder

Hi,

I wish to install this mod and I have no issue with modifying the referred files on the mods directly on cPanel manually. However I am not quite clear on the note:


This file should be able to execute standalone.
File Operations

"Move the included file "AutoEmbedMediaPro2.php" to "./Sources".
Move the included file "AutoEmbedMediaPro2.template.php" to "./Themes/default".
Move the included directory "cache" to "the root directory".
Move the included file "AutoEmbedMediaPro.english.php" to "./Themes/default/languages".
Move the included file "AutoEmbedMediaPro.english-utf8.php" to "./Themes/default/languages".
Move the included directory "videos" to "the root directory"."

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Do what it simply says to do. in the mod file, move the AutoEmbedMediaPro2.php file to the Sources folder, and the AutoEmbedMediaPro2.template.php file to the Themes/default folder. Etc.

Also don't forget to run the install file as well in the browser copy to main directory of forum then run it.

Apologies for not coming back sooner to thank you both for your assistance.

I was quite comfortable with Kill-Em-All's instructions, (as I understood them), I.E. upload the mod's files to their respective directories. An thought that was all it was required for the mod to work. However, I stumbled with vbgamer45's additional instructions:

I got lost here! I just cannot grasp the intent here and would be thankful for a simpler step-by-step clarification.

Sorry to be at this stage yet when it comes to install mods in SMF. (I was used to YaBB)

The file that comes with the mod called "AutoEmbedMediaProInstall2.php". This file executes some database changes. Simply upload this file to the root directory of your forum, where your index.php, Settings.php, etc. files are located. Then run that file by pointing your browser to http://yourwebsite.com/AutoEmbedMediaProInstall2.php
