I'm recieving this message at the top of my page.

Warning: ob_start(): output handler 'ob_gzhandler' conflicts with 'zlib output compression' in C:\Xampp\htdocs\smf\index.php on line 96

Notice: ob_start(): failed to create buffer in C:\Xampp\htdocs\smf\index.php on line 96

How can I fix it, I haven't changed anything in that file.

1.) Sorry.
2.) I just downloaded the forum litterally 2 seconds ago, though I did change a few things and add a tab in the Subs.php file.
3.) Sorry, It's on localhost.

Can you attach your index.php file to the next post please then hopefully one of the coder types will have a look at the file for you.

Wow, I just got the exact same message earlier today on my localhost for some reason. I find that disabling compressed output makes the message go away.

Admin > Configuration > Server Settings > General [Enable Compressed Output = off]

you could look into your php.ini file(s) where most php_modules are configured

like this it should be remember this is just an example how you can do it

Like other (Zend-) extensions, you can activate it in "php.ini".
In this file enable the line ";zend_extension = "\xampp\php\ext\php_eaccelerator.dll"".

Should be:

zend_extension = "\xampp\php\ext\php_eaccelerator.dll"


after you saved your php.ini you must restart the webserver other wise wont work ...
