[Implemented] Show resolved IP when possible.

Now, resolving on every post might be over kill (unless its done *during* posting?) and showing the IP resolved in posts probably wouldnt look right unless it did something like the following..

give.me.all.your.moola.com | 123.456.789.321 |

or maybe have the IP like it is now and bounce to a page that resolves them ?

the case here.. well its not needed all the time but would be useful... i think as an option it might be worthwhile.

I think its a necessity when authorising user signups.

At work I'm forever dropping to a prompt or at home using /dns in mIRC to compare IPs.. and then looking them up against my '****** list'

Why?  Because it is slow.... very slow.  And things time out... and... ugh.

Plus, sometimes the server has no internet access...

Of course, REMOTE_HOST or whatever could be used but it's often... innacurate.

Idea.

Leave it so it doesn't resolve the ip but make it so there is something you can click next to an ip to popup a new window and resolve it on the fly.

I'm actually waiting for SMF to come out with a beta version, since I have an idea for a "View all IP's" tool, which will resolve IP's into hostmasks for that individual user...  have to wait for the goodies to be done here.  NOT trying to nudge anyone, just lettin' people know of a Mod that I plan on releasing, if it's not built in.

Should work on pretty much any IP address. Granted it would require you leaving the page.

This has been added to profiles, although it can slow them down a lot.
