im having trouble using this

Some settings are not being shown because the MySQL connection information is incorrect.

it says but i know its correct

Does the mysql password (or username) contain single or double quotes and or semi-colons?

it dont have quotes but i have  _ on it

And the forum is working properly?
Repair settings reads mysql username and password from Settings.php, usually if these are correct (and if the forum is working those should be correct) I can't think of any reason for it to fail...(okay, there are a couple of reasons but linked to the chars I mentioned in my previous answer...

Is Settings.php readable and writable?

Well, that's important.
That means the password or the username in Settings.php is wrong...
Did you already try to enter the proper username and password in repair settings? (asking because I'm not sure what you have done up to now, so gathering informations )
