Need fast help

Colin

Welcome to SMF

I understand you are looking for help ASAP, but the title needs to be descriptive.

Your settings.php file is not in the forum root. Rename to bak settings file to settings.php. Make sure all of the database settings are correct in that file.

Or, more likely, Settings.php was emptied out in the bug MrPhil loves to mention (because if the file were missing, the error would be something else)

I did briefly advise you the steps to replace it above.

Illori pointed that it would be better to make a copy of the settings_bak.php file prior to modifying it just in case.

So with that said:
1. Copy settings_bak.php and rename it to settings.php
2. Edit settings.php and make any changes if the database and other settings are not current.

How to know user and pass for the base, I found the name

Colin

If you are not sure of the database username you will need to check with your host. If you don't know the password you will need to reset it through your hosting control panel.

In the future I know exactly what causes this problem, a virus or something and how to protect from it ..
