I am using SMF 2.0.4 with SimplePortal 2.3.5.
I have it set so that it redirects to the Portal Index Page when entering the site and after login.

On the Portal Index Page I have a custom PHP block which calls for the include of a PHP file. Under normal circumstances this works perfectly with one exception. When first entering the site I get the following error message at the bottom of the page:

Warning: include(../randomquote/randomquote.php) [function.include]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/mysite/Z6OW6C36/htdocs/forum/Sources/PortalBlocks.php(3561) : eval()'d code on line 1

Once you leave the Portal Index Page it works fine and also works if you then return to the Portal Index Page.

I appreciate that this may possibly be a SP issue, but thought that it may involve the load sequence and wondered how I could overcome this problem.

Any assistance will be gratefully appreciated. Thank you.

Kindred

it is a portal issue involving the custom code in your block...
(ignore the actual reported file and line...   that is bogus info (as noted by the eval statement) and the problem lies specifically with something in your custom code.

My apologies.

It required an absolute path to the PHP file. Works OK now.
