Hello SMF support,
Yesterday i submitted a site for review but for some reason it was not qualified and there where no reply sent as to why i failed. I was under the impression that i followed all the guidelines.

One thing i did realize was that the test account was not active and i think i may have placed two links top and bottom to my smf forum. Not sure if those reason disqualified my submission. I also gave description and copyright is intact and always will be unless i request for removal.

The sad thing about it is that i did not have a copy of that post. So my question is before i try to start a new topic. What was the reason? and if possible can the post be restored so that i can make adjustments according to guidline?

Thank you guys again

Look in the showcase board, you'll see the topic, you'll see the replies from team members asking you to fix whatever is broken.

Hello Arantor,
I checked and double checked. I even did a search for the term but nothing popped up. I think i was removed: "Big Hosting Reviews"

No, look manually for it. It will be visible to the author even though not approved, in your case I suspect it is still part of the other account...

Yeah he can't see that yet, he opened that topic with his other count that hasn't been merged to the one he is logged in with yet, as Arantor already pointed out. :)

Yes  ;D, it is still under the other account ::). I will just wait until support close that account and merge topics.  I figured that was done already, guess i was a lil bit too hasty lol.

Thank you again

Hello Grumpy Old Sod,
I was able to create an account with no errors on my part, may i ask what browser you are using so i can reproduce this error?

Thank you again so much for your time.
Browser should not matter.

Ask your host to disable mod_security, if they insist on using it or have no idea what it is, move to a different host. mod_security drives users away and is bad for your forum in general.

Hello Yoshi,
Thank you for your review. I am on Hostgator with a reseller account. I had a forum (SMF) few years back and had no issue with registration (I think) becuase i would get legitimate signups and a lot of spam of course.

I will contact hostgator now but in the mean time what hosting company would you recommend for SMF that also have a reasonable priced reseller plan? SMF and Wordpress are a must for me now when it come to building sites and joomla will be soon. So any recomendations? anyone using HostGator for SMF without issues?

Thank you ALL again so mush.

The chances of that are astronomical.

Where in the universe are you? However there is the Hosting section on the forum you could look through.

Jahsun

I see, Hostgator is not really suitable for SMF. LOL i hope i am still on Mother Earth.
Thank you Grumpy Old Sod i will check out those offers.
