FYI, the OP is trying to remove both mod installations, but has not been able to.  She started another thread on the removal.

Maybe you can help, instead of criticizing.

OK then. Glad you pointed that out. Seems we have two topics that are related but not connected. Based on that topic, it still appears to me that the ad management mod is applied twice. Based on the non-desire for removing the footer links, maybe the OP should do this:
1. Does the mod appear in Installed Mods?
http://girl-talk-forum.com/index.php?action=packages
2. It appears that you also tried to install the Global Headers/Footers mod? Is that in the link above?
3. If both of the above do not show the mods you installed, did you receive any errors when you tried to uninstall them? Do you have any other mods installed?
4. You likely could have used the Global Headers/Footers mod without having any footer links embedded.
5. Kra******e, I appreciate you mentioning the other thread. Thanks for that.

This mod stinks!

I removed it a second time, and none of the credits will leave. I can't contact them on their forum because when I try to register, the "agree" button to register won't press...they are sticking links all over my site, and I'm not doing anything wrong, just uninstalling the mod. They have a bug, and it's annoying the heck out of me now. I don't know how to remove them, and I don't even have ads up anymore, or their mod, and they have 4 links on my site.

They shouldn't be allowed to stick on links that don't leave after you delete the mod. I did the same thing both times, so I'm not doing anything wrong (even though I thought I might have the first time). Their links just don't leave.

Do you still see the mod's stuff in the Admin area? Or any other remnants of the mod other than the footer that won't go away? Mind attaching index.template.php from Themes/default/?

Yep, it's still in the admin area (and it links to an error page).

How do I attach that? I just figured out how to access the index stuff in the cpanel, and I can download it, but i am not sure if that can be attached...is that the right thing? (Let me try now, I see that attachment button below)

Jennifer P Guman

(ok, I think I am attaching it- hope this works)

Try the attached out. Let us know if that works.

Thanks for information on removing this mod footprint

This mod is horrible. Does not work at all after I tried all the methods on their support boards, and when I installed it leaves the footprint just like what Jennifer said.

I won't even think of buying it when the free version doesn't even work, and gives me more work cleaning up the mess.

I having the same problem, except I CAN'T find it anywhere in the index.template.php to remove it. I do not have it installed or anything.

I don't want to support something that I'm not using. I feel like the developer of that mod is being an evil-mctrickery...  :(

I use a custom theme, so which index.template.php should I be editing? I tried doing many searches to find the footer etc and can't find it.

Any help is much appreciated

please i need help to remove Ad management footer link. Even if to remove one link because there are two links now on the footer area of my site. Atleast removal of one link is NOT a breach of copyright. I have other links with this one adding two links, now adding up to others now making them many.

1 - do not PM me unsolicited like that. Especially since I specifically state not to do so, you recognized that I said that but then you said "but I want to PM you anyway"  Sheesh.....

2- Your options with the mod are ---   accept it as written, pay for the copyright removal or don't use it....    whether I agree with the display or not, I am not going to assist you in violating the terms of the license.
