In the above case in my forum, i just copy and pasted the content i get after clicking preview and the original content i typed. I changed font size, font color and font type. But in preview mode , i get the html tags "[/size][/color][/font]
[/size][/color]Studentsguru.in makes no warranty that[/font]" like this. How to get rid of this. It makes the post looks clumsy. Please help me solve this issue.

Are you trying to put center tags inside other tags? Because if so, that isn't going to work. Put center tags around the size, color and font tags.

Sorry .I am a novice. i don't know what you mean by centre tags.

What i tried to do was either i paste the content from word and then select whole post and click on font face, size and change color to change it or type the content and then do the same things. But in both cases, when i preview, i see the font text, size and color changes as desired. but i see tags <font>, </font>, <size> etc before and after the end of text. i dont want these tags to appear.  I changed to UTF-8 as a suggestion given in one of my earlier posts.

Did you centralise the text you had in Word beforehand?

I used "justify" and not "centre" in word

yeah. i used that in word. in word i used justify, times new roman and font size 16

Right, except that when it gets posted to SMF it's going to be converted to bbcode, because SMF only talks bbcode.

The symptoms you're posting suggest you installed a justify bbcode to make it work (because SMF won't do it without that)

It would be useful if you could post the actual bbcode being used, inside a [code] bbcode here so we could see... you will be able to obtain the actual code by pressing the icon.

that is the bbcode for the content i copy and pasted from word. in word the font is times new roman, font size 16 and used justify.

You can't use Justify in word if you have not installed a mod into SMF that accepts justify.

So.... Remove justify from word and try again.
