Maybe as a mod, but I don't see any reason for it ever being added as a default feature. There are already other options out there.

I use a password generator that is part of a program I use called 1Password. I think my Safari browser also has a built in password generator.

@k0der: while I understand your request, it might happen as a MOD but I don't see it as a core feature. For the exact same reason emanuele points out... Why would we generate a password like 3T5€!ma9@? Would you be able to use something like this next time you login?

Also, it has been proven that "random" characters are no more safe than mixed character phrases -- and phrases are easier to remember
