Areas on right and left I think I have figured out how to modify via setting padding options to 0px.

Areas in between categories, however, are throwing me for a loop.  I want to keep a space between categories, but I want that space to be invisible.  Any pointers?

You should ask in the relative theme support topic ;) the author knows better for sure :)
A little sidenote... This section is for SMF coding, not really graphics ;) there is a section for it but in this case I pointed you to the theme support topic because the author surely knows better than anyone else, and also because it's a general rule.

It's so powerful that on this post and even in the two PMs you sent me,you still answered my question very quickly and you're apologizing for the delay. You're the #1 support I've probably ever encountered man, so much respect for that. Thank you, and get better soon.

I'll keep this in my siggy for a while just to remind me that someone appreciated what I did while others didn't.

Yea I've been a little confused where some of these questions should go since they can apply to so many different areas.

With that said, how would this not be a coding question?  I understand your point of talking to the theme creator, but this setup is standard across the SMF board for the most part.  Figuring out where it needs to be altered (I'm by no means experienced with website coding) in my mind would be a code issue.

Don't take any of that as me being a smartass please..... just thinking out loud  :D

It's template code, so could be in templates board or here. :)

The colour is coming from the wrapper background behind the index itself. This is the same background that is used on all pages. That means that if you make it transparent on one page, it will be transparent everywhere. This may not be what you want as it may look funny on some pages.

If the theme's coding is basically the same as default, you will be looking for the #content_section div and the .frame div inside it. These have the background set on them. If the coding is non-standard you'll have to either provide a live link or ask the theme's author.

This should likely be moved to the Graphics/Templates board, so I'll do that very shortly. truckworks, I think you should share your site URL here as that would help others help you. I know you've PMed it to me and that was very much appreciated. You'll likely get good feedback by sharing it here in the public eye. Keep in mind that sharing it here will only help you. :)

It would be easier to have a link indeed, if I understood correctly what you want this shouldn't be very hard to do with just some css, but that is too dependent on how the html is and how the css is.
