[RC2] Restoring deleted member

Hey guys

I'm trying to restore a deleted member on my forum, problem is I don't have access to a backup at the moment.

I found the below thread on how to do it, but it doesn't seem to work for RC2?

Can anyone tell me what I'd have to change in order to do it?

When you deleted him, did you chose to delete all of his posts?

No, all the posts are still there, just show as a guest.

I've recreated the account using same username etc, just unsure where in the database I reassign the post IDs

Old ID is 3, new one 236; message prefix is smf_, SMF 2.0 RC2

There is an easy way to do it in 2.0 RC2

Admin -> Maintenance -> Forum Maintenance -> Members

Enter their email address next to "Email address of" and their username next to "Attribute to member", then click "Reattribute".

Darn...I didn't know about that feature...I just finished whipping up a script for this situation XD
Oh well, we learn something new everyday =]

I attached the script anyway for the hell of it...All you need to do is place it in your forum's root and run it. Also, I did it in a few minutes, and it's pretty late so yeah I know it could have been made better haha.

I need to restore a member to our forum, so responding to this post to help me find it again.
Will let you know if it works for me.
Using SMF 2.0.7

Rob, you really should upgrade to 2.0.8 and then to 2.0.9 ... there have been a number of security fixes done.
