Hi All,

Using SMF v2.0.10

So, we created the database forum3,
we created a user for the same with full permissions,
we went through the host's phpMyAdmin,
we selected forum3 (obviously there are no tables or files)
we clicked on "Import" tab and got "The directory you set for upload work cannot be reached".
See attachment.

Why are we doing this?
We want to "mirror" our production forum by backing up daily and then loading the back-up from the production forum to forum3
by going through the host's phpMyAdmin and uploading the back-up.

Thank you for any ideas that will accomplish this.

A thought!!!!  If we are able to do this, we could have only Responsive Curve as a theme, and then call it a "Mobile Site", whereas the original in forum2 would not be a "Mobile Site" because of other themes and mods".  I think.

Needed information:
- What's your SMF version?, What MODs are installed? What Theme(s) are you using? Have you backed up your database?

Mods for ver 1.x will NOT run on ver 2.x

You do realize that, every time you copy the database over, you have to reset the paths and urls?

Also, when you installed the forum3 site, it would have created all of the smf table.

Finally, where are you trying to import the database from?

That would seem to be the highest issue, as I can now login to forum3, but end up at forum2

Hmmm

I just tried to import the .sql into the DB
I later uploaded all files to forum3 via FileZilla and yeah, need to straighten out the files.

Thanks Kindred.   :D
