I want a page on the forum which is hidden but were i can link to in a message.
I want the page exactly like the index page but without the boards and instead a page with text

Does anyone know what to do?

I thought it was possible by copy the index.php and call it index2.php and make some changes in it, but it seems like it's more difficult.
After that i thought maybe i can use for example the help page, change this, rename it in whatever i want and use it, but i found out the text which i can read at the help page is not in the Help.template.php....

I can make a exact samen page in html of course but i think it's nicer te do it the way i say up here...

Someone help me?

most certainly, you can **NOT** just "copy index.php as index2.php
that will never, ever work.

script files are not the same as html files. You can't just copy it as a different name and have a new page.

You should look at
1- portal mods (5 of them)
2- extra page mods (4+ of them)
3-custom action mod

Please do not PM, IM or Email me with support questions.  You will get better and faster responses in the support boards.  Thank you.

Some themes used the wrap - action method of adding specific theme pages - I did a few of those before - but don't think any theme use that now. I always liked that "hack" even if it only worked in a particular theme. :)

But as Kindred mentions, using a page/article/portal mod will be faster.
