upload mod's directly to the servers via WinSCP instead of FTP ??

finaly moving to decent servers...the only hitch is they use WinSCP instead of FTP

i am at a loss;  my tech guy installed the forum & I'm trying to install the mods...SMF is asking for

FTP Server: which i think means the web server address/host name
port: XX

pw: is this the server password??
local path to smf: /forum

smf only asks for that stuff when the file and directory permissions need to be adjusted in order to edit or add files and folders.  Change your permissions to 755 (folders) and 644 (files)

if that doesn't work...   try 775/664 -- and finally, if it still doesn't work, try 777/666
