Is it possible to put a topic on "draft" instead of deleting it?

Is it possible to remove a topic from public view, but keep it as a "draft"?

I don't need to give this feature to members, I'm mostly asking if I as the admin can instead of completely deleting topics, put them in a "draft" or "under consideration" state out of public view.
Basically I need to remove a specific thread as admin but be able (keep a backup?) to restore it in the future.
