How to add additional texts in to the browser tab

hi friends..,

I have to ask something that some one know how to add additional words in to the tab bar when
browsing the forum

I mean as ex: http://myforum.com/index.php
when browsing this address on the  address bar, above the address on the tab bar showing like this

myforumname  - index

I'm asking instead of showing myforumname - index

are we can change that texts as we need something other words?..  I mean add something additional.. so pls someone know

well, it could be complicated, depending on what you want to add and on what pages you want to add it.

let say I need to do it  like this way
and I just want to change them in my index page and forum board pages

ex : myforumname  - index this is normal way it's displaying board index

I want to change it only display myforumname without " - index"

for forum board pages-

ex : myforum board name , this is normal way displaying my forum board pages

I want to change it like this, " myforum board name - myforum name "

like that I would like to change pls if you can help me to do that

What about if you're on a topic? What should it say then? What about inside user profiles?

And WHY do you want to remove the - index?   That is descriptive of the baseline Index page

If you just want to replace 'index', it's in /Themes/default/languages/index.english.php (or index.yourlanguage.php) -



$txt['forum_index'] = '%1$s - Index';
