Image upload from local hard drive not working

I don't seem to be able to upload an image file from a local drive although I have managed to do this once before. The path I am using is but it comes up with an broken image icon.

All image formats are included and all the limits are set to 0 so it's not the size restrictions.

When I use a file on our server it uploads without any problem.

What am I doing wrong?

You can't link to files on your hard drive with the img tags.
If you want to attach an image, use the attachments function in the reply screen.
